Liebherr-Aerospace opens Sydney representative office

Liebherr-Aerospace has opened a representative office in Sydney to strengthen customer and partner relationships and improve support across Australia and New Zealand. The office is based at the Liebherr Group’s existing facility in Pyrmont, New South Wales. The move gives the aerospace business a local presence as airlines in the region invest in fleet renewal, including new long-haul and single-aisle aircraft.

Liebherr has not disclosed the office’s staffing or detailed service scope, and no customer agreements were specified. The representative office is intended to build existing relationships and develop new ones; the announcement did not identify particular airline or maintenance-provider engagements.

Fleet changes in Australia include Qantas Group’s planned Project Sunrise operation with the Airbus A350-1000ULR and its introduction of the A321XLR. Regional fleet modernisation is also part of the broader investment picture. These programmes may bring opportunities for closer engagement with airlines and maintenance businesses, although Liebherr has not tied the Sydney office to any specific aircraft programme. The Liebherr Group has maintained a company presence in Australia since 1981.
