KlasJet has secured FAA Part 129 Operations Specifications approval for U.S.-related ACMI and charter operations, clearing the Lithuanian operator to fly to and from the United States with its Boeing 737NG fleet. The Vilnius-based carrier, part of Avia Solutions Group, had already obtained the other required U.S. permissions, including DOT authority and approvals from TSA and CBP.
The approval is the final regulatory step needed for KlasJet to deploy aircraft on U.S.-related work within the scope of its authorisations. That opens a new market for the company and supports its plans to serve seasonal peak demand and capacity shortfalls for U.S. customers. FAA Part 129 applies to foreign air carriers operating to, from or through the United States, and KlasJet’s approval covers its charter and wet-lease activity.
