Jazeera Airways returns to first-half profit as second-quarter recovery offsets disruption

Jazeera Airways posted a first-half net profit of 8.57 million Kuwaiti dinars for 2026, down 10.3% from a year earlier, as temporary restrictions at Kuwait International Airport weighed on capacity during the Middle East conflict. A stronger second quarter lifted earnings sharply, with quarterly net profit rising to 9.63 million dinars from a loss of 1.06 million dinars in the first quarter.

Revenue for the six months ended 30 June reached 115.85 million dinars, up 13.4% year on year, even as the profit line softened. Second-quarter revenue of 70.74 million dinars was well above the 45.11 million dinars recorded in the first quarter, indicating a recovery in demand and operations after earlier disruption.

The Kuwait-listed budget carrier had to contend with airport closure and operational limits during the conflict, which reduced available capacity for much of the period. The half-year figures underline how quickly Gulf airline earnings can shift when regional tensions affect airport access, fuel costs and traffic flows.
