Icelandair leases six A320neo aircraft from Aircastle

Icelandair has locked in six more Airbus A320neo aircraft through lease agreements with Aircastle, extending its narrowbody renewal programme with Pratt & Whitney-powered jets built between 2018 and 2020. The aircraft are due to enter service before summer 2028, following the carrier’s earlier plan to add four A320neos from AviLease in spring 2027. Together, the two transactions bring 10 A320neo-family aircraft into the fleet plan, giving Icelandair a staggered EIS profile across 2027 and 2028 while it retires older narrowbodies. The company did not disclose lease term, registrations or delivery sequence.
