Iberia has unveiled plans for its 100th anniversary in 2027, including a commemorative livery for several aircraft, a major event at La Muñoza in Madrid and an airshow at Cuatro Vientos. The programme also includes a symbolic flight, IB100, while the carrier links the centenary to long-haul cabin modernisation and wider customer-experience upgrades.
The anniversary campaign began in Madrid on Wednesday with the presentation of the centenary agenda and a render of the special design, which features a large red 100 on a white fuselage. Iberia will extend the celebrations beyond Spain, with activities in Buenos Aires, Bogotá, Mexico City and São Paulo, underscoring the strategic weight of Latin America in its network.
Product changes are set to form part of the wider programme during 2027. Iberia plans to refresh its long-haul cabins and introduce broader onboard and service improvements as it uses the centenary year to combine brand, operational and customer-facing initiatives.
