IBA sees Comac C919 fleet reaching 322 aircraft by 2030

IBA has projected that the worldwide Comac C919 fleet will rise to 322 aircraft by 2030 from 31 in service at the end of 2025, as deliveries of the Chinese narrowbody accelerate from 15 a year to 93 by the end of the decade. The forecast points to a steep production ramp for the C919 as Comac expands its presence in the domestic Chinese market and beyond.

The outlook also lifts IBA’s estimate for Comac’s broader commercial fleet, including the C909, to 704 aircraft by 2030 from 205 in 2025. The fleet growth would depend on sustained manufacturing scale-up rather than a change in the current order book, and it comes as the C919 continues its early commercial deployment phase. The forecast was framed as an industry projection for Comac’s production trajectory rather than a company guidance update.
