IATA is partnering with visa-services provider OneVasco to integrate visa-concierge support into its Timatic Solutions, linking travel-document checks with visa applications. Planned for Timatic Web and the Timatic Widget, the optional service will allow airlines to offer passengers a direct path from confirming entry requirements to receiving assistance with an application, IATA and OneVasco announced from Geneva on Thursday.
OneVasco will support both electronic visas and conventional sticker visas. Its services will include eligibility checks, document verification, application assistance, secure payments and application-status tracking. Timatic travel information will also be incorporated into OneVasco’s visa platform, creating a two-way connection between entry-requirement information and visa support.
The service will be available to airlines as a supplementary option rather than an automatic feature for all Timatic users. The partnership does not alter immigration or entry requirements, and no launch date, pricing, initial airline customers or coverage by country and visa category has been specified. Timatic provides real-time travel-document information used by airlines to assess passenger compliance for international journeys.
