Fraport revenue and EBITDA rise as international airports drive growth

Fraport’s revenue rose 3.8% to €3.466 billion in the first nine months of 2026, while EBITDA increased 2% to a record €1.178 billion, as its international airport portfolio supplied a larger share of earnings. Group airports handled around 146 million passengers, 1.7% more than a year earlier and above pre-pandemic levels for the first time. Frankfurt traffic was nearly flat at 47.5 million.

International operations contributed 48% of Group EBITDA, up from 43% in the same period last year; their share reached 54% in the third quarter. Excluding construction-related revenue under IFRIC 12, Group revenue increased 4.7% to €3.350 billion. Fraport Greece and Lima recorded the largest adjusted revenue gains, of €39.3 million and €33.9 million respectively.

Passenger numbers set records in Greece, up 5.1%, and Lima, up 2.8%. Traffic also grew in Ljubljana, Brazil and Bulgaria. Frankfurt’s summer on-time performance improved by about six percentage points to roughly 74%, ahead of Amsterdam, Paris and Madrid, according to Fraport.

Net profit fell 28.8% to €314.5 million, mainly due to higher financing costs and depreciation following expansion projects in Lima and Frankfurt. The comparison was also affected by a €50 million expense-reducing one-off in the prior-year period. Fraport maintained its 2026 forecast for EBITDA of up to €1.5 billion and a Group result of €300 million to €400 million.
