Global Airlines has gained a temporary reprieve after a London High Court hearing in its insolvency dispute was adjourned to 7 October, delaying the risk of liquidation over the carrier’s only Airbus A380. The startup remains under pressure from a winding-up petition while it continues talks with creditors, investors and partners, and its sole superjumbo is still parked in Tarbes, France.
The case centres on petition CR-2026-004213, filed on 29 May and heard previously in July and early September. The airline has no UK Air Operator Certificate and has yet to begin normal commercial operations, leaving its premium long-haul model entirely dependent on the legal outcome. The company remains listed as active in the UK register.
A further deadline adds to the strain: audited 2025 accounts are due on 30 September. With no public confirmation of a wider rescue plan, the adjournment buys time rather than resolving the underlying dispute, and the court battle now stands to determine whether the A380-focused startup can continue at all.
