French Bee cabin crew strike extended until 6 September

French Bee cabin crew have extended their strike to run from 1 September at 00:01 until 6 September at 23:59, prolonging industrial action that first began on 27 August. The dispute centres on pay, more stable rosters and longer rest periods for flight attendants and stewards, while the disruption affects a carrier that operates long-haul services, including transatlantic routes, from France.

The SNPNC-FO and CGT unions have kept up the stoppage after no negotiations opened once the walkout started. The unions argue that working conditions remain unchanged, and the extended action raises the risk of delays and cancellations despite efforts to protect the schedule.

French Bee has arranged wet-lease support from Wamos Air, based in Spain, to help keep its full network operating during the disruption. The airline is aiming to maintain services across its programme, although passengers on long-haul flights remain the most exposed to any operational knock-on effects.
