Flybondi remains grounded as restructuring opens path to OCA Air brand

Flybondi remains largely out of service in Argentina as restructuring plans move closer to a possible shift toward an OCA Air operating brand, with transfers of ramp and OCC staff already under way inside the COC Global Enterprise group. Ticket sales have reopened for travel from 10 September, but the carrier still faces questions over aircraft availability, supplier support and the continuity of its operating certificate.

The low-cost airline has been under heavy operational strain for months, after a stoppage that began on 6 August and earlier disruption linked to fuel and supplier disputes. OCA and Flybondi now sit within the same corporate structure after COC Global Enterprise acquired Flybondi in 2025 and later bought OCA, creating the basis for a wider restructuring of the business in Argentina.

No formal public decision has confirmed that Flybondi will disappear or that passenger services will definitively transfer to an OCA Air airline. The current reporting instead points to a potential brand reset that would reshape domestic capacity, ground operations and labour arrangements while the company works through regulatory deadlines and a limited restart window.
