Fly91 close to ordering at least 20 ATR turboprops

Indian regional carrier Fly91 is close to placing an order for at least 20 ATR turboprops, with the deal expected to cover ATR 72-600 aircraft and potentially include options for more. The proposed purchase would support the Goa-based airline’s fleet expansion as it continues building out its domestic network to around a dozen destinations, with an announcement possibly coming as early as this week.

Negotiations remain confidential and the transaction has not been finalised. ATR did not comment, while Fly91 had not immediately responded. The airline currently operates ATR 72-600s and has outlined a plan to induct 30 aircraft over time as it targets service to more than 50 cities within five years. The potential order would add to India’s growing regional aviation market, where demand for short-haul connectivity continues to support turboprop fleet growth.
