FACC has opened the expanded section of its plant in Jakovlje, near Zagreb, adding composite aircraft interior production at the site after investing about 36 million euros. The expansion triples the production area and lifts capacity at FACC’s largest manufacturing facility outside Austria, which now employs roughly 500 to 550 workers.
The Croatian site already operated a fully automated painting line, and the new phase introduces production of cabin components made with a pressing process. FACC wants Jakovlje to develop into a competence centre for high-quality cabin equipment for its global customer base.
Production in Jakovlje began in 2022, with expansion work starting a year later. The site has been positioned as a Southeast European hub as aircraft manufacturers continue to face strong order books and sustained demand for supplier output.
