Emirates has introduced unlimited free date changes for passengers flying to Dubai, beginning on 10 August, in a policy aimed at boosting inbound demand to the city. The waiver covers change fees on selected Dubai-bound fares, while travellers who rebook into a higher-priced flight must still pay any fare difference.
The new rules apply to Economy Saver, Economy Flex, Business Special, Business Saver and Business Flex tickets for inbound travel to Dubai. Economy Flex Plus, Premium Economy, Business Flex Plus and First Class remain fully flexible. Emirates has also reduced refund fees on Dubai-bound tickets, cutting them to $50 for Economy Saver and Business Special or Saver fares, and to $25 for Economy Flex and Business Flex.
The carrier is extending a broader flexibility push that began in April, when tickets booked from 2 April qualified for one free date change. The latest move is limited to travel into Dubai rather than the airline’s wider network, and it is designed to give customers more booking confidence during a key travel period.
