Emirates has unveiled a new premium economy seat for its Airbus A350, adding a full-height privacy divider that can be raised and locked from the seat controls. The 2-3-2 cabin layout carries 28 seats and puts a feature usually associated with higher classes into the airline’s premium economy product.
The seat is part of Emirates’ latest A350 cabin rollout and includes electric recline, preset lounge and meal modes, an integrated control unit and a cradle sleeping position designed to avoid encroaching on the row behind. The privacy screen is intended to create a more secluded space for relaxing, dining and working. Emirates is using the launch to push premium economy further upmarket as it expands the cabin across its new aircraft.
