Embraer records 38% surge in adjusted net income as second-quarter revenue hits record

Embraer reported a 38.4% rise in adjusted net income to US$218.6 million in the second quarter of 2026, while revenue climbed 23% year on year to a record US$2.2 billion. The Brazilian aircraft manufacturer delivered 65 aircraft in the period, its strongest second-quarter performance in 16 years, and lifted full-year guidance after a quarter marked by stronger operations, improved cash inflows and an extraordinary tax credit.

The quarterly delivery total included 45 executive jets and 20 commercial aircraft, with no defence deliveries. Firm order backlog reached US$34.5 billion, the highest level in the company’s history and the seventh consecutive record. Embraer’s executive aviation business remained a major contributor to the period’s performance, while commercial aviation continued to support the backlog alongside defence orders already secured.

The improved profitability led Embraer to raise its 2026 outlook. The company now expects an adjusted EBIT margin of 10.0% to 10.6%, up from a prior range of 8.7% to 9.3%, and adjusted free cash flow excluding Eve of US$400 million or more, compared with a previous target of US$200 million or more. Net profit in local currency also rose sharply in the period, underscoring the scale of the improvement across the business.
