Discover Airlines to add first UK leisure routes in summer 2027

Discover Airlines will launch its first UK leisure services in summer 2027, opening new routes from Frankfurt to Glasgow, Bristol and Inverness, alongside a Munich–Glasgow connection. The Munich service is being transferred from Lufthansa mainline, and the new flying will use Airbus A320 aircraft across Discover and Lufthansa sales channels.

The route rollout begins on 29 March 2027 with Frankfurt–Glasgow, followed by Munich–Glasgow on 16 May, Frankfurt–Bristol on 17 May and Frankfurt–Inverness on 19 June. Discover will operate up to eleven weekly flights to Great Britain at peak summer demand, with Frankfurt–Glasgow set for up to six weekly frequencies and the other routes added on a lower seasonal basis.

The expansion gives Discover its first presence in the UK market and extends Lufthansa Group’s strategy of shifting selected short-haul flying to branded subsidiaries. For Glasgow, the Munich link restores a route previously flown by Lufthansa, while the Frankfurt services create new nonstop connections to three leisure and city-break destinations in Britain.
