Airbus lifted its net order tally above 1,000 in July after a wave of Chinese airline and leasing commitments and deals linked to the Farnborough Airshow. The Toulouse-based manufacturer booked 204 gross orders in the month and delivered 67 aircraft, leaving year-to-date deliveries at 418 and net orders at 1,024 after cancellations and adjustments.
The July intake included orders from Hainan Airlines, China Eastern and SMBC Aviation Capital, with the lessor’s 100-aircraft A320neo-family commitment formally recorded from Farnborough. Flynas also featured in the month’s order mix. Gross orders for the year reached 1,090, underlining continued demand for Airbus narrowbody aircraft despite a slower delivery pace than in previous years.
Airbus delivered 67 jets in July, unchanged from the same month a year earlier, but it still needs to sustain around 90 monthly deliveries through the rest of 2026 to meet its full-year target. The order surge came as the manufacturer continued to work through production constraints while keeping its narrowbody backlog supported by airline and lessor demand.
