Liebherr-Aerospace has reached a commercial agreement with China Airlines to overhaul the nose landing gear systems on the carrier’s Airbus A350 fleet. The maintenance campaign is scheduled to begin in 2026 and run through 2031, with an exchange-service arrangement designed to keep aircraft available while the units are overhauled.
China Airlines becomes the first customer in Asia for Liebherr’s A350 nose landing gear overhaul programme. The system was developed, manufactured and certified by Liebherr-Aerospace Lindenberg in Germany, which has been expanding support for landing-gear maintenance in the region.
No contract value was disclosed. The deal covers China Airlines’ A350 fleet of 18 aircraft and adds to Liebherr’s growing aftermarket MRO activity on the type.
