British Airways customers will be able to book connections to 13 Mexican destinations served by Viva under a new codeshare agreement, using Mexico City or Cancún as transfer points for journeys to or from London. The Viva flights will carry a British Airways flight code and can be included in a single booking on ba.com. Tickets are available now for travel from 28 March 2027.
The routes cover Guadalajara, Veracruz, Monterrey, Oaxaca, Cancún, Mérida, San José del Cabo, Chihuahua, Hermosillo, Puerto Vallarta and Tijuana via Mexico City. Via Cancún, the agreement includes Veracruz, León, Guadalajara, Monterrey, Querétaro, Chihuahua and Tijuana. The agreement applies only to these selected routes, not Viva’s entire network. Eligible British Airways Club members can earn Avios and tier points on codeshare travel.
The arrangement gives British Airways customers access to destinations beyond Mexico’s main gateways. Passengers travelling in the opposite direction can connect in London to British Airways’ network of more than 200 destinations. Viva serves more than 60 destinations across Mexico, the United States, Colombia, Costa Rica and Cuba, operating a fleet of 110 Airbus A320- and A321-family aircraft.
