Boeing rolls out CBTA pilot training library with Thailand regulator

Boeing and Thailand’s Civil Aviation Authority have launched a new collaboration in Bangkok to introduce Boeing’s Competency-Based Training and Assessment Learning Library across flight training organisations in Thailand. The programme is the first time a regulator has deployed Boeing’s CBTA learning content across an entire training ecosystem, with access extended to participating flight schools nationwide.

The initiative is aimed at supporting the next generation of airline pilots by standardising training content around competency-based methods. Boeing says the library is designed to strengthen pilot competencies, improve training effectiveness and better prepare cadets for modern airline operations. The rollout places Thailand’s training infrastructure at the centre of the programme rather than linking it to a single carrier or academy.

No contract value, implementation timetable or list of participating schools was disclosed. The move follows Boeing’s broader push to expand CBTA-based pilot training tools for flight training organisations and reflects growing attention in the region to structured, competency-focused pilot development.
