airBaltic will cut 18 routes from its summer 2027 schedule, including Vilnius-Berlin, as it resets its Baltic network for the northern summer season. The revised programme, running from the end of March to the end of October 2027, reduces the airline’s footprint across Riga, Tallinn and Vilnius while concentrating capacity on stronger city pairs and higher-frequency services.
The sharpest change comes in Vilnius, where routes to Berlin, Heraklion, Nice, Prague and Tenerife South are removed. Tallinn also loses multiple links, while Riga gives up a series of leisure routes. At the same time, core business destinations such as London, Paris, Vienna, Barcelona, Rome, Hamburg and Düsseldorf retain or gain frequency, indicating a reallocation of aircraft rather than a broad retreat from the market.
The revised network is notably smaller than airBaltic’s summer 2026 programme, underscoring a more focused strategy centred on demand and yield. Berlin’s disappearance from the Vilnius schedule is among the most visible cuts, given the route’s importance for short-haul connectivity between the Baltic states and Germany.
