Attestor to acquire remaining 49% stake in Condor

Attestor will take full ownership of Condor after agreeing to buy the remaining 49% stake in the German leisure airline from the federal government and the state of Hesse. The shares are held through SG Luftfahrtgesellschaft, and closing is planned for 31 August 2027, turning the move into a scheduled transfer of ownership rather than an immediate takeover.

The deal uses a purchase option negotiated when Attestor first invested in 2021. Condor, Germany’s second-largest airline, has already repaid earlier state aid, clearing the way for the public shareholders to exit after crisis-era support. No purchase price or other financial terms were disclosed. The transaction gives Attestor complete control of a carrier that remains strategically important in the European leisure market.
