ANA Holdings has expanded its commitment to Embraer’s E190-E2 programme with an additional order for eight aircraft, taking its total firm request to 23 jets. The Tokyo-based group still retains five options, and the first of the new aircraft is scheduled for delivery in 2028.
The latest agreement formalises ANA HD’s decision on 29 July 2026 to enlarge its E2 fleet and builds on the original 15-aircraft firm purchase contract placed in 2025. The order deepens the Japanese group’s regional fleet renewal plan and gives Embraer a larger long-term presence in Japan’s market for efficient short-haul jets.
No pricing details or route assignments were disclosed. The aircraft will be added in future years rather than supporting immediate operations, underlining the long lead time for ANA HD’s regional fleet refresh.
