AJW Group signs A330 support deal with Sun PhuQuoc Airways

AJW Group has signed a six-year Power-by-the-Hour support agreement with Sun PhuQuoc Airways for the Vietnamese carrier’s Airbus A330 fleet as it prepares to expand medium- and long-haul services across the Asia-Pacific region. The support package covers component availability during aircraft induction, along with technical and supply-chain assistance, as Sun PhuQuoc begins introducing the wide-body type in phases, with the first two aircraft entering service in September 2026.

The airline expects its A330 fleet to reach as many as 15 aircraft by 2030. The deal extends an earlier partnership between the two companies this year, when AJW also took on support for Sun PhuQuoc’s Airbus A320 family fleet under a long-term PBH and Main Base Kit arrangement.

Sun PhuQuoc’s wide-body plan adds a new layer to its network strategy, giving it the aircraft capacity needed for longer-haul flying while its maintenance support structure scales in parallel. The arrangement also underlines the carrier’s move from narrow-body operations towards a broader international model, with AJW positioned to help maintain aircraft availability as the fleet grows.
