airBaltic is cutting winter-season capacity across its Baltic network, suspending several routes and reducing frequencies on selected services as it reshapes flying for softer demand. The changes include the suspension of Vilnius-Berlin, Vilnius-Dubai and Palanga-Tenerife, alongside a lower frequency on Vilnius-Tallinn. Tallinn-London Gatwick will also be dropped for winter, while some Riga services face further reductions.
The carrier is keeping the adjustments limited to a small part of the schedule and will continue operating flights as published until the winter timetable change. Existing bookings remain valid. Edvards Dalderis, the airline’s spokesman, linked the revisions to a routine network review based on demand, seasonality, commercial factors and wider market conditions.
The cuts appear selective rather than a broad retreat from the region. One route pairing, Vilnius-Geneva, is expected to be added in the winter season, underlining that airBaltic is pruning weaker services while preserving and adjusting others. Leisure links such as Tenerife and Dubai, together with business-oriented city routes from the Baltic capitals, are among the services most affected.
