airBaltic will focus its summer 2027 schedule on Riga, increasing frequencies on its busiest European routes while reducing the breadth of its Baltic network. The airline plans to serve 57 destinations from Riga, 13 from Tallinn and eight from Vilnius, with higher traffic on links including London Gatwick, Paris, Vienna, Barcelona, Rome, Hamburg, Düsseldorf, Milan, Athens, Nice, Alicante and Split.
The revised programme reflects a strategy centred on the strongest demand and revenue markets rather than wider point-to-point expansion. Riga remains the carrier’s main hub, and the timetable shows a sharper concentration of capacity in business and leisure routes that can support more frequent service. Some routes across the Baltic capitals are being withdrawn, while remaining services are being strengthened.
The move follows an updated business plan that prioritises network depth, operational efficiency and improved profitability. It also underscores a broader retrenchment in route breadth as airBaltic aligns its summer flying programme more closely with commercial performance and hub connectivity.
