Azul has expanded its partnership with Air Europa by deploying the Spanish carrier’s Boeing 787 Dreamliner on flights between Campinas, Brazil, and Madrid, Spain. The ACMI operation began on 15 October and is scheduled to continue through 31 March 2027, giving Azul additional widebody capacity to meet higher demand during the 2026-27 peak season.
Under the arrangement, Air Europa supplies the aircraft, crew, maintenance and insurance, while Azul uses the capacity for its seasonal Europe service. The operation is subject to applicable technical and regulatory requirements, including authorisation from Brazil’s National Civil Aviation Agency, ANAC.
The aircraft assigned to the service is configured with 296 seats, comprising 22 lie-flat Business Class seats and 274 Economy seats. The arrangement allows Azul to increase capacity on the route without deploying one of its own aircraft or crews.
Azul and Air Europa already cooperate through a codeshare agreement. Azul customers can also redeem Fidelidade points for Air Europa flights through the Azul Pelo Mundo programme, extending the commercial relationship beyond the Campinas-Madrid service.
