Air Canada to end Vancouver-Singapore route in January 2027

Air Canada will end its Vancouver-Singapore nonstop service in late January 2027, bringing down the curtain on its longest route by distance. The Boeing 787-9-operated link launched in April 2024 and has run up to five times a week, covering about 12,800 kilometres with a block time of as long as 16 hours 45 minutes.

Published schedule updates point to the last Vancouver departure on 24 January 2027 and the final Singapore departure on 26 January 2027. Air Canada has not detailed the reason in the available material, but related coverage points to weak economics, high fuel costs and limited commercial demand. Once the route ends, there will again be no nonstop passenger service between Canada and Singapore, removing Air Canada’s only ultra-long-haul link to Southeast Asia from its network.
