Embraer reaches record company-wide backlog of $35.7 billion

Embraer’s consolidated firm-order backlog reached a record $35.7 billion in the third quarter of 2026, covering orders outstanding at the end of September. The Brazilian manufacturer’s backlog rose 3% from the previous quarter and 14% year on year, supported by demand for E2 commercial jets, business aircraft, military transports and long-term support services.

Commercial Aviation accounted for $15.8 billion, up 5% from the second quarter and 4% year on year. The E2 family generated 36 firm orders and 30 purchase rights or options during the period, involving Abra Group, Binter, Luxair and ANA Holdings. Abra ordered 20 E195-E2 aircraft, while ANA added eight E190-E2s to its existing agreement. Binter ordered five E195-E2s, and Luxair converted three E190-E2 purchase rights into firm orders.

Executive Aviation’s backlog reached a record $8.2 billion, increasing 5% quarter on quarter and 12% year on year. The result followed certification of the Phenom 300EV in Brazil, the United States and Europe.

Defense and Security recorded a $6.1 billion backlog, up 56% year on year, helped by Colombia’s firm order for two KC-390 Millennium aircraft. Services & Support reached a record $5.6 billion, rising 2% from the previous quarter and 14% year on year on new long-term contracts. The backlog represents firm orders not yet delivered, rather than recognised revenue or profit.
