Emirates is expected to operate an Airbus A380 on its morning flight from Dubai to Brussels Airport on 10 March 2027, in what would be the aircraft’s first visit to the Belgian airport since April 2018. The planned deployment is a one-off, rather than the start of scheduled A380 service. The flight date and operating plan have been reported by Belgian aviation publication Flightlevel; neither Emirates nor Brussels Airport has confirmed the operation.
Emirates previously brought the A380 to Brussels in 2015 and 2018. The 2018 flight coincided with the inauguration of a triple passenger boarding bridge at gates B31 and B33 in Pier B, designed to serve both decks of the aircraft. During that visit, however, the upper-deck bridge could not reach the A380, according to the report.
The planned return would bring the aircraft back to the airport nearly nine years later, but no regular A380 operation to Brussels has been announced. The airport’s bridge was built to accommodate the type, alongside wide-body aircraft including the Airbus A330 and A350 and the Boeing 777 and 787.
