Pan Am Flight Academy has partnered with Professional Pilots of Tomorrow (PPOT) to expand aspiring airline pilots’ access to mentorship, training resources and industry connections. Through the NEXTGEN Pilot Program, PPOT members will receive exclusive rates for Pan Am’s Airline Transport Pilot Certification Training Program (ATP-CTP), lowering the cost of a key step towards an airline career.
The partnership was announced in Miami on 22 October. It links Pan Am’s professional aviation training programmes with PPOT’s support for pilots developing their qualifications and industry networks.
PPOT members will be able to use the preferential rates for Pan Am’s ATP-CTP course, although the value and duration of the discount were not disclosed. The agreement does not include details of financial terms, member numbers or additional training locations.
Pan Am provides training for airlines, pilots and aviation organisations worldwide, including aircraft type ratings, ATP-CTP courses and full-flight simulator training. PPOT supports aspiring professional pilots through mentorship, training resources and industry connections. Federico Flores Navarro, Pan Am’s chief commercial officer, described the collaboration as a way to improve access to professional airline training and strengthen links between aspiring pilots and the aviation industry.
