Stellar Aviation To Add Second 35,000-Sq-Ft Hangar At Reno-Tahoe

Stellar Aviation has begun work on a second 35,000-square-foot hangar and office complex at Reno-Tahoe International Airport in Nevada, expanding capacity for the largest long-range business jets. The facility will provide 30,000 square feet of aircraft storage, 5,000 square feet of office and shop space, and covered vehicle parking for tenants and crews. It is being developed in the airport’s northeast quadrant beside the company’s recently completed FBO executive terminal.

The project is Stellar’s second hangar of this size at Reno-Tahoe. The new building will be located near Rock Boulevard and Mill Street, where the company has established a growing FBO operation. Stellar leases and manages about 80 airport hangars, with a combined area exceeding 250,000 square feet.

The company’s Reno investment includes more than nine acres of FBO development, a 5,000-square-foot executive terminal, the first 35,000-square-foot hangar and office complex, four acres of secured aircraft parking and more than 60,000 gallons of bulk fuel storage. The expansion is intended to keep the FBO aligned with demand as the Reno-Tahoe Airport Authority advances more than $1 billion in infrastructure improvements.

No completion date, project value, hangar-door dimensions or aircraft-capacity figure has been disclosed.
