Azul operated all five aircraft in its Disney-themed fleet from Viracopos International Airport in Campinas, São Paulo, within a 19-minute period on 12 October. The Airbus jets departed on scheduled commercial services to destinations across Brazil, rather than on a dedicated formation or special flight, during the country’s Children’s Month celebrations.
Departures took place between 09:45 and 10:04. The Mickey Mouse nas Nuvens Airbus A320neo, registered PR-YSH, operated flight AD9235 to Natal, followed by the Pateta nas Nuvens A320neo PR-YSR on AD4045 to Belo Horizonte. Margarida nas Nuvens, an A320neo registered PR-YSK, then left on AD4336 to Cuiabá.
The sequence continued with Minnie Mouse nas Nuvens, the fleet’s Airbus A321neo, registered PR-YJF, operating AD4712 to Fortaleza. Pato Donald nas Nuvens, an A320neo registered PR-YSI, completed the departures with flight AD2613 to Florianópolis.
Coordinating the five aircraft required planning across several Azul departments while preserving their normal passenger schedules. The fleet was developed with Walt Disney World Resort and began with the Mickey Mouse aircraft in October 2021. Pateta joined in 2024, completing the current group of four A320neos and one A321neo.
