Aloft Opens Delaware Innovation Lab for Aircraft Systems Testing

Aloft has opened an innovation laboratory in Delaware to support aircraft-systems testing by aviation-industry partners. The facility provides rentable laboratory space and specialised testing equipment, allowing companies to evaluate new systems without building equivalent infrastructure in-house. The opening was reported during NBAA-BACE 2026.

The facility expands Aloft’s role from providing aviation engineering and testing services to operating a shared development environment for industry users. Its intended applications include avionics, aircraft equipment and other systems-development programmes that require dedicated laboratory space or specialist test resources.

By offering access on a shared basis, the Delaware laboratory could help smaller companies and other organisations conduct testing with lower capital expenditure and shorter preparation times than a fully internal facility would require. Aloft has not disclosed the laboratory’s precise address, equipment inventory, customer list, pricing or capacity, and no details were provided on systems already tested there.
