SWISS plans to resume daily flights between Zurich and Dubai on 27 October 2026, restoring the route after a suspension linked to security risks and operational disruptions in the Middle East. The service will connect Zurich Airport with Dubai International Airport and is scheduled to operate primarily with Airbus A340-300 aircraft during the winter timetable.
The route will operate under flight numbers LX242 and LX243. The A340-300 operation is expected to introduce Premium Economy on the Zurich-Dubai route, alongside First, Business and Economy cabins. Flights originally scheduled for 25 and 26 October will not operate, with affected passengers to be rebooked on alternative connections.
SWISS continues to monitor regional security conditions in coordination with the relevant authorities and Lufthansa Group airlines. The planned restart therefore remains subject to operational and safety considerations, and the schedule could be revised if conditions deteriorate.
The resumption forms part of a gradual restoration of Lufthansa Group services to Dubai. Lufthansa is scheduled to restart flights from Munich and Frankfurt on 25 and 26 October respectively, while other international carriers are planning returns to Dubai between late October and early November. Passengers should verify their individual flight status before travelling.
