DegaTech Systems is revamping its FuelerLinx and FBOLinx platforms to account for ramp, overnight parking, handling and special-event fees alongside fuel prices. Demonstrated at NBAA-BACE, the redesigned products are scheduled to go live in November, giving business-aviation operators a projected total cost for each technical stop before selecting an FBO or deciding whether tankering is economical.
Special-event surcharges linked to sporting, political and trade events can vary by airport, FBO and week, complicating comparisons based solely on posted fuel prices. DegaTech chief executive Kevin Moller described the change as a shift from comparing fuel prices to comparing the entire bill. The company has spent the past year incorporating fee data into the platforms.
FuelerLinx’s enhanced interactive tech-stop map will include applicable fees in projected stop costs. Reporting tools will show fuel spending, volume, contract savings and compliance data, while a mobile application will compare captured FBO receipts with invoices and reconcile them against charged fees.
For FBOs, updated margin templates and customer-management tools will support customer-specific pricing. A new handling-services and fees function will allow providers to list services, prices and application conditions, while backend tools track customer orders and the services associated with them.
