LOT Polish Airlines resumed scheduled flights between Warsaw Chopin Airport and Bangkok Suvarnabhumi on 7 October, restoring a direct link that had last operated in March 2000. The year-round service uses Boeing 787 Dreamliners and begins with three weekly frequencies before rising to five weekly flights from the start of the winter schedule, with some reports indicating a further increase later in the season.
The route gives LOT a long-haul connection to Thailand from Central Europe and expands its Asia network from Warsaw. Initial departures operate on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays, with return flights from Bangkok on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays. The airline had originally planned to introduce the service later, but moved the launch forward after stronger-than-expected demand.
The Bangkok service adds another direct option between Central and Eastern Europe and Southeast Asia, where leisure traffic has remained a major driver of long-haul recovery. It also strengthens connectivity through Warsaw for travellers heading to Thailand and onward destinations in the region.
