SAE secures 12-year Cebu Pacific A320 maintenance contract

Sepang Aircraft Engineering, a wholly owned Airbus subsidiary, has won a 12-year maintenance contract from Cebu Pacific for seven Airbus A320 aircraft. The work covers heavy maintenance and end-of-lease checks and will be carried out at SAE’s facility at Kuala Lumpur International Airport in Malaysia, with the maintenance window expected between 2027 and 2028.

The agreement was unveiled in Singapore during the MRO Asia-Pacific event and extends an existing relationship between the two companies. SAE has previously handled ad hoc heavy maintenance, end-of-lease checks, engine changes and skin panel replacement for the Philippine carrier.

For Cebu Pacific, the deal supports continued airworthiness management for its narrowbody fleet as aircraft are prepared for return to lessors. For SAE, it secures multi-year demand at KLIA across a known customer base. The contract value was not disclosed.
