Tecnam delivers P2012 Traveller to Props for a Purpose

Tecnam has delivered a P2012 Traveller to U.S. nonprofit Props for a Purpose, giving the humanitarian aviation group its first dedicated aircraft. The twin-engine turboprop, named Servant One, is secured through a 10-year lease with AeroSpring Leasing and will support disaster relief, search and rescue, humanitarian response, medical transport and animal rescue missions across the United States.

Props for a Purpose grew out of volunteer operations that began in late 2021 after tornadoes struck western Kentucky and was founded in 2024. The organisation now coordinates more than 300 missions a year with a network of more than 500 volunteer pilots and aviation professionals. The dedicated aircraft reduces reliance on volunteered airframes and gives the group a configurable platform for passenger, cargo and medical evacuation work.

The P2012 Traveller’s cabin flexibility is central to its mission fit, allowing rapid changes between transport, freight and medical-relief roles. The aircraft’s twin-engine layout and operational efficiency also suit time-sensitive missions that may involve patients, medical teams, supplies and other humanitarian equipment.
