Recaro nearly doubles seat output at Polish plant

RECARO Aircraft Seating has opened an expanded production and office facility in Świebodzin, Poland, lifting annual output at the site from 60,000 to 100,000 passenger seats. The investment more than doubles the plant’s footprint to over 22,000 square metres and increases production lines from four to eight, as the company scales Economy Class seat manufacturing.

The expansion adds about 8,600 square metres for production, logistics and cut2dress operations, while office space has also been enlarged. The Świebodzin site makes RECARO’s R1, R2 and R3 Economy Class platforms and has produced nearly 660,000 passenger seats to date. RECARO described the project as a double-digit million-euro investment and plans to hire more than 200 employees in Świebodzin over the next five years.
