Pryor Field Regional Airport in Alabama has opened a business aircraft maintenance operation, expanding its commercial aviation offering to include both fixed-base operations and maintenance, repair and overhaul services. The development positions the airport to serve visiting and based business aircraft with fuel, ramp and maintenance support at one location.
The new maintenance shop forms part of a wider build-out at the airport, which has been steadily broadening its aviation services. By pairing MRO capability with existing FBO activity, Pryor Field can offer operators quicker access to local technical support without sending aircraft to another airport.
For business aviation users, the addition strengthens the airport’s role as a service point in north Alabama. It also increases the airport’s appeal to transient operators that need both ground handling and maintenance support, particularly those flying into the Huntsville-area market and the Tennessee Valley.
