Props for a Purpose gets first dedicated Tecnam P2012 for rescue missions

US humanitarian aviation nonprofit Props for a Purpose has taken delivery of its first dedicated aircraft, a Tecnam P2012 Traveller named Servant One. The twin-engine aircraft is being operated under a 10-year lease with AeroSpring Leasing and will support medical transport, disaster relief and humanitarian missions across the United States.

The P2012’s reconfigurable cabin allows rapid changes between passenger transport, cargo and medical evacuation roles. That flexibility suits short-notice missions carrying patients, medical teams, aid workers, relief supplies and equipment. Props for a Purpose currently handles about 300 missions a year and relies on a network of more than 500 volunteer pilots and aviation professionals.

The new aircraft should reduce the organisation’s dependence on volunteer-provided aircraft and give it more predictable access to lift for urgent humanitarian work. The exact base airport, financial terms of the lease and aircraft serial number were not disclosed in the available material.
