Lufthansa will restore its Bremen-Frankfurt route in the summer timetable 2027, bringing back one daily round trip between the north German city and the carrier’s Frankfurt hub. The service had been suspended on 1 July after the airline judged it uneconomic, but regional officials confirmed on 25 September that the link will return, with alternating morning and evening departures planned.
The reinstatement gives Bremen back a direct connection to Germany’s main long-haul and transfer gateway, improving access to national, European and intercontinental destinations. Local business representatives welcomed the decision, while also indicating that higher frequencies would have been preferable for the region’s hub access.
Munich is expected to remain Lufthansa’s stronger connection from Bremen, with nearly four daily frequencies still planned. That leaves Frankfurt as the key restored route for corporate and export-oriented travel, although no detailed schedule, aircraft type or ticket-sale date has yet been published.
