Attestor to take full control of Condor in 2027

Attestor will take over the remaining 49% of Condor from the German federal government and the state of Hesse, giving the leisure airline a single owner after the planned closing on 31 August 2027. The majority owner is exercising a purchase option agreed when it entered Condor in 2021, completing the ownership path set out during the carrier’s rescue from the Thomas Cook collapse and the pandemic.

The stake is held via SG Luftfahrtgesellschaft on behalf of the two public shareholders, which will now exit the airline. Condor’s ownership structure has been split since Attestor acquired its initial majority holding in 2021, with the state remaining invested as a minority shareholder.

The transaction does not represent a new strategic move but the scheduled execution of an existing contractual arrangement. It also closes the chapter on state support for Condor, which helped stabilise the carrier through its crisis period and paves the way for a cleaner corporate structure under full private ownership.
