Valencian aerospace firms to test technologies with Spanish Army in València

Valencian aerospace companies will validate drones and advanced systems directly with the Spanish Army in València through a new programme led by Espai Aero CV, the Universitat Politècnica de València and the Regimiento de Caballería Lusitania of the Brigada Paracaidista. The first working session took place at Base General Almirante, with the initiative designed to bring mid-readiness technologies closer to operational use in realistic military conditions.

Participating firms include Dendrite Technologies, AIDIMME, Orbotix, Voltrac and Valyra Aerospace. The scheme focuses on technologies around TRL 4 to TRL 5 and aims to move them towards TRL 8 by using field testing and direct feedback from military units. That input is expected to help companies adapt products to operational requirements and improve performance under real-world constraints.

The collaboration is intended to continue over time rather than serve as a one-off demonstration. One of the planned exercises is due to take place abroad with NATO forces, widening the testing environment and reducing some of the limitations of domestic trials.
