American Airlines and STARLUX Airlines have launched a codeshare partnership linking STARLUX’s transpacific Taipei service with American’s domestic U.S. network, with tickets available immediately. The agreement covers 20 U.S. destinations and centres on connections via Phoenix and Los Angeles, expanding single-ticket booking options across both carriers’ networks.
STARLUX will place its code on American domestic feeder flights, while American will add its code to STARLUX’s transpacific flights. Via Phoenix, the partnership adds Albuquerque, Austin, Boston, El Paso, Kansas City, San Antonio, San Diego, St. Louis, Tucson and Washington, D.C. (Reagan). Via Los Angeles, it adds New York-JFK and Miami.
Other destinations in the codeshare list include Atlanta, Charlotte, Denver, Dallas/Fort Worth, Las Vegas, Orlando, Chicago O’Hare and Philadelphia. The arrangement builds on an interline agreement established in 2025, extending the airlines’ existing cooperation rather than starting a new relationship. Both carriers are also preparing a reciprocal frequent-flyer tie-up that would allow members to earn and redeem miles on eligible codeshare flights.
