Swedavia will cut 95 positions as part of a wider organisational overhaul, with about 125 roles including vacancies affected, mainly at its head office in Stockholm. The Swedish airport operator is seeking to simplify its structure, sharpen its focus on core operations and move more decisions closer to customers to improve efficiency.
Mats Johannesson, Swedavia’s president and chief executive, linked the restructuring to a reduction in support-function roles and pledged that the process would be handled respectfully, with support for staff affected by the changes. The move comes as airport operators continue to seek leaner structures and lower costs while maintaining operational delivery across a network that includes Stockholm Arlanda and other Swedish airports.
The redundancies form part of a broader organisational change rather than a shift in airport operations, with the main impact centred on corporate functions rather than frontline services.
