Pratt & Whitney Canada, a RTX business, has signed a four-year maintenance, repair and overhaul agreement with AirBorneo Airways for PW127M engines on its ATR 72-500 regional turboprops through 2030. The work will be carried out mainly at Pratt & Whitney Canada’s expanded Singapore facility, which is being positioned as a regional support centre for Asia-Pacific operators.
AirBorneo operates the aircraft on the Rural Air Services network in East Malaysia, where the turboprops connect remote communities. The contract deepens maintenance continuity for the airline’s fleet while extending Pratt & Whitney Canada’s aftermarket footprint in Southeast Asia. The Singapore site has recently been expanded to increase turboprop MRO capacity, reflecting growing demand for regional engine support in the market.
