AerCap raises $1.5 billion in senior notes

AerCap Funding Designated Activity Company, a wholly owned subsidiary of AerCap Holdings N.V., has priced a $1.5 billion senior notes offering in Dublin. The deal is split into two $750 million tranches: 5.500% notes due 2030 and 5.875% notes due 2033.

The notes are guaranteed on a senior unsecured basis by AerCap and certain other subsidiaries. Joint book-running managers for the underwritten public offering are Citigroup, Mizuho, BNP Paribas, Deutsche Bank Securities, Santander and Truist Securities.

AerCap plans to use the net proceeds for general corporate purposes, including acquiring, investing in, financing or refinancing aircraft assets and repaying indebtedness. The transaction extends the aircraft lessor’s access to capital markets as it continues to fund fleet-related activity and manage its balance sheet.
